We don't have any history. We have been underdogs since 1905.*
*Historic factthe fact that you are resting players who played in the "latter stages of the world cup" puts to bed all this talk of Chelsea as underdogs, stop being so disingenuous Clive. Mourinho might be trying to play the "no one believes in us" card, but its pretty obvious that just like Man Utd are getting slated to losing to Swansea - though Swansea should be given much more credit for their performance, the same should happen to Chelsea if they fall at Burnley..

What I like is that Corndog is so blatant in his plagiaristic use of the word disingenuous.

Arsenal 73 banning orders? What were they for, rustling a packet of crisps?

We signed Diouf before the world cup.. the shower of shithouse that he was

Nice to see Clive has taken up the anti-Liverpool baton from Jaw in Pists absence.
I wonder how poor little Chelsea will fare tonight against the new comersApparently they're learning how to break down defensive teams
So just the usual Attack vs Defence training then

Putting full fat milk into lattes.

Have I missed the discussion about how a pigeon gave Ashley Young a very direct indicator of his opinion of this current united crop? I was just sad that RVP wasn't there to take it on.
Here's hoping for the little horse to stumble at the first hurdle. New teams can often surprise at this point in the season, before they give up and resign themselves to relegation or mid-table safety.

Clive if you listen to the pundits, almost all agree that Chelsea have to win it this year otherwise it will be a failure and Moronio will have to go. Not a single pundit have Liverpool finishing in the top 2, some begrudgingly have us in the top 4. Amazingly, most seem to have United finishing above us. I can only think that recent history must have some bearing on this. Again. When does recent history become old enough to be proper history?
Are you kidding?! All I've heard is that Chelsea have already won the league and ManU will finish above us and we will fail for the top4.
....They're gonna be correct I think. -

Any way, let's talk about who will play this evening.
Courtois
Azpilicueta Cahill Terry Luis
Fabregas Matic
Salah Hazard Torres
CostaOr we could see Ivanovich on the right and Azpilicueta on the left replacing Luis which would fit with the idea of not playing any Germans or Brazilians. In addition, Ramieres is suspended.
Torres started on the left of mid field against real Sociedad last week.

Playing Torres in midfield is a pretty obvious thing to do

Costa is Brazilian. Luis didn't go to the World Cup
-
• #109419
are you sure that courtois is going to play? Is Cech still injured or is he ready to go? Should Mourinho try and ease Courtois in?
-

It's entertaining reading the match previews from a wide range of press who have clearly never seen Burnley play before this season.
I'm particularly looking forward to Kightly making his debut, as a large number of articles are predicting, given that he was generally decent in the 36 games he played for us last year.

Cech is not injured but Courtois has started more games recently

Would you prefer that we chatted about Liverpool?

Perhaps they mean his Premier League debut.
Possibly, but given they've lumped him in with the other new signings it's unlikely.
Why should Derby be the only team to have permanent underdog status? Is it something to do with the fact that, of they were dogs they would be chihuahuas?
