  • Also I'm looking for some new astro's that don't make my big toes want to fall off; had a pair of Adidas Adi5's for a few years now. Less than £40 ideally. Ta!

  • Clive, there's nothing worse than someone getting their knickers in a twist and being wrong.
The sentence "a European Cup" clearly means "UEFA BIG CUP" and not "a European cup". Which is what the PissPot Winners Cup is. Or was.

  • Granted, you may have been in Europe for a lot longer than most clubs. But then you could say English clubs weren't in Europe until the UK became part of the EU. Or something similarly disingenuous.

  • If your adidas worked, get another pair.

  • Chalfies right

  • I went for a new pair of these the other day whilst I wait for my flyknit nike boots to turn up.

they don't look hideous and are comfy.

  • Nice to see Clive has taken up the anti-Liverpool baton from Jaw in Pists absence.
I wonder how poor little Chelsea will fare tonight against the new comers

  • i can imagine the chelsea football thread being as dull as their football

  • .

  • Yes, I'm in favour of a football subforum. It doesn't have to be down to the level of clubs, but at least things like international football can have it's own thread in there.

  • Also things like football drinks, stadium rides etc won't get lost in the ether of the "bantz thread"

  • International football thread:

  • If John wants a football subforum, this should indicate clearly why we shouldn't have one.

  • Haha

  • Sporting president has outdone himself with the Rojo transfer.
Nani with United subsidising 80-90% of his salary.

United are getting desperate. Rojo was seen as the weak link in the Argentina side before the world cup, and you just have to ask Liverpool what signing players based on a couple of WC performances gets you. You also have to wonder how much they've scouted him before this, if at all. Giving them Nani when they've still got a bigger dead-weight in Anderson (literally) is also pretty funny.

  • Yup - you'd have thought someone like Howedes would be a more sensible signing or getting someone in on loan.

Oh well they have Zaha and Cleverley is getting a new contract, so it'll all be ok

  • Liverpool not even top ten.

    Even Arsenal above them.

  • Mind you the results probably say more about the policing at games than the supporters.

  • I wonder how poor little Chelsea will fare tonight against the new
    comers

It's going to be a tough game tonight. Burnley are looking sharp. They have nothing to lose and all to play for. Chelsea are still without key players who played in the latter stages of the World Cup. Weather up there is deteriorating. Rain and heavy winds forecast.

  • Chelsea are without key players but will still have a bench which cost more than the Burnley 1st 11. Yet Chelsea are the under dogs.

  • We don't have any history. We have been underdogs since 1905.*

    *Historic fact

  • We are behind Burnley in the League. Clear underdogs.
