Italian-american food is rad if you are from italian-america. I get a bit nostalgic for its combination of mushy pasta, huge meatballs, hella parmesan and whatnot. I can't imagine liking it if you are forrin though.
The other thing aside from the above mentioned sea insects in those parts are "grinders" which are giant sandwiches on soft bread. They look something like this:
