yup, i'm told by Mrs Hell that chowdah and lahbstah are pretty much synonymous with that part of the world and like you, i'm not a fan of anything that eats fishcrap for a living.
i'd also rather avoid 5 star eating experiences, they cost a lot and this trip isnt shaping up to be exactly cheap. If the food channel on the telly is anything to go by, pretty much every street in the USA is festooned with mom 'n pop gee golly gawrsh aint everythin' swell down home grits, greens 'n gravy gaffes where everything costs a dollar and a smile.
