Possibly somebody here will be able to help a little... My dad's mechanical watch has been up in the loft of my family home since roughly the mid 90's. Recently I rediscovered it and thought it would be nice to wear it. After looking at the watch it didn't appear to work, even after winding it up, nothing. A week ago I dropped it off at a watch specialist and today I collected it; now it works like a charm. The guy seemed enthusiastic to see the watch and thought the amount I paid to get it repaired was well worth it, maybe unsurprising eh. My mum recalls how she bought it originally for their 5th wedding anniversary, but can anyone date the watch or suggest a rough value? Just like on Antiques Roadshow it's more about the sentimental value, but curious nonetheless. Thanks.
