Sweet.
I've hit a wall HARD this week. Decided to knock up some simple acoustic versions of things to keep the band page ticking over with new content but oh my DAYS have I lost my pizzaz. 27 takes of an acoustic guitar track. A similar number of the vocal. I've thought all of the mojo out of it. Urgh.
On the plus side, I am writing some awesome shiz and am booked into to record in germany on 19th -22nd Sep and lookign at dates at Gold Top and Soup Studios in October.
Oh and found this in my plugins and have been enjoying it on guitars very much:

Also bought this: http://www.valhalladsp.com/valhallavintageverb
yum.
All of which is cheerfully distracting me from the painfully obvious fact that I SUCK.

It works beautifully! I'd even argue it's a bit bit too clean...I've only tried it with my drum machine, so not the best instrument but for £310 I'm happy.
I think they stored it poorly hence the rust on the handle and on that side of the box. I thought it'd be totally fucked. The rollers and head also have bits of corrosion too, but it's all light surface stuff. I guess the tape can always be left in there to grit it up. -

Second day trying to record a mix, but it seems technology hates me. My old laptop, that is running Traktor died several times about 30 minutes into the mix, also it does this annoying hicups, when there's a pause of silence for a second or two. Maybe it's time to sell the decks, they only come out for about 2 weeks a year.

Holy sheet. I finally did it. Just dropped more than the cost of my last car on a mic and an interface.

Sorry missed the UA price query. Negotiable i'd say but around the £800 mark I'd have thought.
