What sort of insurance will cover bike? My contents insurance provider covers bike under accidental damage and even if they are outside the house (locked) but they have especially mentioned NOT FOR RACING.

ETA cycle insurance covers racing of all sorts (including crashes of your own making), except if you abandon it in a non-manned area during a triathlon, iirc!

Works out ~10% of the bike value per year though.

Of course. I forgot about ETA. They're a good company.

I was with them for a few years. Pricy for one bike but if you have a few it starts looking more reasonable. In the end I got the grump, stopped splashing cash on expensive kit and decided...

I think most insurance policies are fraudulent.
