fuckk, climbed to the top of a tower to log out and got sniped, I had so much stuff, ill never find that airfield again

wish people would not go on friendly servers to kill people

It's a bit late for advice but for what it's worth:
Never log out without cover.
Never log out on skylines, always in hollows or if none available below the skyline.
Never in big loot spots like prisons/police stations/hospitals/army barracks etc.
Ideally never in any conurbation whatsoever.

My favourite technique is a shit building on the outskirts of a shit town (barns are good - they have holes to peer out of) or in bushes/the base of coniferous trees at the bottom of valleys.

So exactly the opposite of my current plan of get on to a really high tower then lie down , was mid crouch action when I dies.. lost a sks rifle and a p1 and a 1911 and 2 300 round ammo boxes and loads of food and drink all i was left to find was health kit... oh had awesome stilling axe too

How much does it cost to hire a server? if not extortionate anyone up for clubbing together and getting one?

Possibly yeah, though what are the benefits apart from ability to lock it to shut out bandits?

My own connection at home is dismal because I live in a listed building so no ISP will touch us to install fibre/etc so I'm stuck on a slow and shaky Sky connection.

I don't play enough to warrant it, plus all my money is going towards my bikes atm

Bandits are only a problem solo though as a group you would want randomers eventually

I have no idea how servers work but would be happy to chip in... not sure what we would need?

haven't shopped around but one price is about £40 per month.

I wonder if @Velocio could offer an additional service here?

A Teamspeak server would be good. Sadly, you'll need a dedicated machine to run one.
A mate of mine had one running not so long ago, for max. 5 people though. I'll ask if that's still online.

I think last time CYOA created a channel on on the public TS server with a password. Seemed to work ok.

Might try and find people later. All my loot is gone, I got mercilessly killed by a clan of fully geared kill on sight mutes, it was a little dubious. I was in the ATC at Balota. I'd seen them approaching, they had spotted me and started firing shots. I retreated and waited on the stairs, I heard the footsteps right on me and then... dead! I didn't see anyone or even have chance to retaliate. Not sure if I got glitched or maybe they went up the ladder and came down from the top where I wasn't looking, gutted.

I'd say Koz is a fairly solid place to meet. Then we can head down to Balota and on to Cherno? There'll be more to do there for a large group than just going up to NWAF which may or may not have already been looted.
