That seems a reasonable way of dealing with it. Thanks Velocio.

sign out and sign in once more to tell Persona things have changed.
that helped.
-
• #3729
Yup. Signing out and back in fixed it.

Persona appears to be crap.
Probably why I've never seen any other website use it ever. -

I'm getting that continual loading/refreshing/ keeps jumping to the top of the page thing that others have mentioned, but I didn't get it yesterday it's started sometime today (on Firefox 31.0)

Has the black border replaced the black logo, to indicate a death?

It isn't black, and no.
-
• #3734
No. There will still be a black logo.

Secondly, if I want to add a sentence in the middle of a reply, like I wanted to add to the above, I then can't delete what has been typed after, the cursor jumps back and deletes what I just entered no matter where I click. So I find I have to then rewrite the entire reply.
Is only an issue for me in Firefox, now Chrome works I don't have this issue.

I have the refresh thing now as well...
Chrome 36.0.1985.125 on OS X (Yosemite Beta, 10.10)

• #3737
And you have signed out and signed back in?
-
• #3738
I was signing in that did it (persona had signed me out again). I've now signed out and in again and it appears fixed.

• #3739
Great.
Then I'm done with bugs for the morning... going to move to server decommissioning instead.

Will there be RSS? I had a subscription to https://www.lfgss.com/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=61 so that I could see in my feed reader when new project threads started, would be nice to get it back. I'm guessing if I just 'follow' the CP Forum my 'following' is going to get filled up with everything in that forum, which is the last thing I want.
-
• #3741
RSS wasn't on the roadmap.
No-one had ever asked, none of the testing ever revealed the need, the few people I had asked proclaimed that they didn't use RSS any longer, and the feed stats showed only 70~ people out of 40,000 had ever set up an RSS subscription. Additionally, in the 6 months of running test.lfgss.com and the several weeks of running go.lfgss.com not one person made a request for it.
It's not impossible to add though, we'd just put a layer on top of the existing API to render RSS from the API data. It's not going to be a priority for a while though, lots of other things will trump RSS on the list of priorities for a long while.
So yes... using a Follow is presently the best way.

Thanks @velocio for helping me back in just now.
Just for your info. The browser message was 'internal server issues' It happened using FF on MacOSX. I could still access normally on Opera and Safari (which I didn't think to try until 5 hours passed without being able to access #lfgssaddict)

LFGSS keeps reloading every 2 seconds or so. This happens with every page I visit but stops if I hit the X on the browser window. I'm using Safari on MacOSX. This is new today.

- Sign out of LFGSS using the sign out button in the top right.
- Close the window.
- Sign in again.
Let me know if this fixes it for you.

"You can sign in again using the button above"
But there are two buttons above.

People tab - the 'starts with' filter doesn't work on my browser.
Instead of getting a drop down when you click on the field right of the checkbox, presumably containing the alphabet, it just clears the check box.browser = FF 31.0

Some threads, e.g. Souths or Names and Faces, don't show thread starters in the 'Following' list view. To the best of my knowledge, the starters haven't left or been banned, and what's currently the OP really was always the OP. Any reason?
Shouldn't be... the code for Persona is in this web page, not a cached external JavaScript file.
Though you might need to sign out and sign in once more to tell Persona things have changed.
