How do they 'tell' the person you are replying though?

Because in following it includes the line "replied to your comment" and then below shows the response being made, so rather than seeing a post has progressed you can see a post has progressed in response to something you contributed.

I've got no issue with people asking for change, but the shit tonne of I liked it like this, can I have that back, is wearing, especially as you say in your next post when it's all over the shop in every thread, where neither @Velocio or @blueprints is likely to see it. Means that you're just making me wade through gripes and moans on threads where I'd like to read information pertaining to the thread/conversation title..

Maybe I'm not seeing what you're seeing. I read threads top to bottom, oldest to newest. If I see a random string of text I'll then have to see "in reply to" and then I have to click the #388 or whatever post number it is in order to work out what the response was to. All this rather than some quoted text and a "GTFO" underneath as in the old system.

It's like you need an 'Ignore' function or something.

it's difficult to collate feature requests and bug reports when they're scattered all over the forum :/
