• I suppose the new ease of changing usernames might allow scenarios like this:

User A is called 'Velocity Boy' and changes his username to 'Velocio'.
User B changes his username to 'Velocity Boy'.

    Or:

User A changes his username to something else for a laugh, intending to revert the change an hour later.
User B quickly hijacks User A's former username.

    Are these cases possible?

  • User A changes his username to something else for a laugh, intending to revert the change an hour later.
User B quickly hijacks User A's former username.

I had wondered about this too

could result in a whole new level of being hosered

I dare you to give it a try

  • These scenarios are possible.

Usernames are unique, and you cannot have the same username as someone else.

So long as you don't change your username, you cannot lose it.

But... if you change it, then your old username is available.
