    I'm not wishing to be insensitive to anyone's personal plight.

    Getting drunk does lower your inhibitions and make you more susceptible to manipulation, forgetful, less physically able etc

    These are qualities that an attacker would seek out in a potential victim right?

    If those numbers on the poster are correct, then the government has seen it necessary to warn people who may be targeted.

    I don't wish to trivialise it of course but is this not similar to "Don't carry cash on show, thieves operate in this area" or "Don't leave your bag in your locked car because thieves will target it"?

    From this poster, I get "Be careful when you drink because sexual predators prey on people who lose their faculties whilst intoxicated" rather than "If you have a drink and are assaulted, it is your fault".

    Am I missing something?
