Nice to see he's got all of his ears, from having a quick search for the breed it would appear they are normally cropped quite severely.

Cropping ears!!!!! WTF?! I can just about understand cropping lambs' tails but anything else is abhorrent. Fucking cropping a dog's fucking ears, Jesus wept.

Ear cropping and tail docking is illegal in the UK, other than for working dogs where they could be damaged. Traditionally corsos had both done because they were worked for guarding and hunting, now it just happens for vanity reasons. There are so few of them in the UK that most are imported from Italy and the US, where cropping and docking are legal, so that's what you often see. Most internet pictures will be of non UK dogs anyway.

I know which I prefer, but one of Herbie's litter mates had his tail legally docked, as it was damaged at birth. Herbie still has the ability to clear a coffee table of everything on it, and get food all over his ears. If it carries on, we off on holiday to Italy...
