Are you sure those rails aren't just bolted into the Vesa holes on the back of the TV?
-
• #62030
Measure the hole centres, it's probably 400mm × 300mm. Not that it helps. I still think if you want to do it on the cheap the your best bet is to get your carpentry tools out.

You're probably right tester.. but living in a pokey london flat without space or tools makes that quite difficult

Fuck. Just broken a molar. Where is there to go on a Sunday to get this sorted?
-
• #62033
A dentist
-
• #62034
Brilliant, thanks. Surprisingly though, my dentist is closed on a Sunday and they don't take kindly to walk ins. I meant more along the lines of an A&E. for teeth. Never had to use one before.

The offy should be able to tide you over.

I broke a tooth right before going abroad a couple of years ago and went to a place in Islington that did drop ins, was a regular dentists surgery... will see if i can find the address.

I think this one has a root filling and thankfully no nerve although the pressure it's creating is starting to hurt.
CSB, this guy was my dentist growing up. He fucked up my teeth something rotten. He said my wisdom teeth were causing pressure on my other teeth so drilled them to release the pressure. Nothing really happened until I was in my early twenties when one of his shoddy fillings got infected giving me an abscess. Went to a proper dentist who said most of the fillings had to be re-done and I needed 3 root fillings because of that wanker.
Fuck fuckity fuck

stevo - your usual dentist might have an out-of-hours number you can call if you ring them up. You'll get their answerphone but the details should be in the message.
If it really hurts by now and painkillers don't help then you can go to actual A&E and ask them if they can do something to tide you over until tomorrow (this will likely be bigger and better painkillers).

Bad luck - one of my molars cracked around a shonky filling a couple of years ago while I was chowing down on a bag of Wiggle Haribo, of all things. I was able to use DIY tooth cement from Boots to plug the gap until I saw an actual dentist to remove the shattered molar a week or two later, but I don't think that'd help in your case as it's the pressure from the weird position of the shard that's causing the problem. Is it loose? If it's loose then I'd be tempted to try to wiggle it out, but IANAD and should not be listened to under any circumstance on dental matters.

What are the comfiest hooded drop bar brake levers without shifters?
Love my 2012 SRAM Rivals, but don't want to pay brifter money just to throw away the shifting bit.
-
• #62043
Like hoods with for shifters, it's down to personal preference.
I like the Tektro r100 & r200 shape (ie old Campagnolo Ergo shape without pay the high price for actual Campag ones) -

If you like SRAM then s500 /900 no? Basically an apex / rival leaver with the shifting bits removed

For the first time in 4 years of travelling with work I have managed to build some leisure time onto the end of a trip.
I have approximately 5 days in Peninsular Malaysia to do something fun after a conference in Melaka. Does anyone have any recommendations of places to go/see/do?
Things that interest me:
Mountains, forests, rural communities and culture, hiking, wildlife.Things that don't:
resorts, drunk tourists and gap yah students.Book an air Asia flight and climb kota kinabalu, may be some gap yah students there but prob not too many.
Explore the east coast which is still relatively untouched.
Eat ALL of the food in melaka.

Cheers, I called my dentist and his ooh message just said call back when we're open or leave a message. Will call tomorrow morning.
The shard is very loose but doesn't seem to want to come out, probably because it goes around the filing and I can't get a good enough grip on it.
Its not that painful just won't be able to eat until it's fixed, which might not be such a bad thing.

At about 2:20 in this video
they start working on the inner and outer limits on the front derailleur of an ultegra set. Just a single turn with the screwdriver seem to move the derailleur at least a millimetre. But on my brand spanking new 105 set I turn the outer and inner screws with no response at all, the derailleur just doesn't move sideways. I've tried a few different levels of tension in the cable with no change. The gears work OK, but there is still a bit of rubbing on the outer ring which I reckon calls for outer limit tuning.
What gives? -

On the talk of dentists, anyone got a recommendation for one around e1/e2 sort of area? My new work comes with denplan and I think i just pick any dentist and they reimburse the costs after
-
• #62049
^^ Detach the cable. The derailleur will return to the position where it's limited by the lower limit screw. Now turn the limit screw. See the derailure move? If no, check the screws / threads for damage, i.e. threading.
Photo would help.

buy brifters off ebay listed as the shifting mechanism no longer working.
remove shifting gubbins, throw it away. I like campag but if you like sram then that's your answer.
we've been donated a 32" tv, but it only has wall bracket attachments on the back (the rails kind not a VESA mount, looks like this on the back http://thumbs3.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mcY_oTgpROA6P_s1awtDloA.jpg) and no tabletop stand with it
Does anyone know where I can find just a tabletop size stand for the wall bracket mount thats not like £50+ ?
