  • any ideas where I can buy velocity A23s in silver online?
    thanks.

  • This will probably turn out to be a really easy fix but I just can't do it so I need some PC help please;

Try uninstalling the wifi card totally and then reboot windows with it plugged into the router. Hopefully Windows Update should do its thing and find the appropriate driver. I've found recent versions of Windows to be pretty good at locating drivers automatically.

If that doesn't work then go to the toshiba website and see if you can download drivers (or whoever makes the motherboard/wireless card https://www.piriform.com/speccy should tell you).

  • Anyone used the XTR trail pedals? Any good? Do they have the same, uber slick, consistent unclip action as the XTR race pedals?

I have the XT trail pedal but find the unclip action 'lumpy' and a little unpredictable.

Thanks - the windows update seems to have pushed it into downloading the drivers too.

  • TRAIN TICKETS

I've purchased 2 train tickets to get up to the Edinburgh festival on the Bank holiday weekend (two nights). We booked the tickets in haste as we would prefer to spend our time elsewhere.

Question: The tickets are print-your-own and have our names and last four digit card numbers on. They are also non-refundable. Is there anyway for others to use them so we could resell them? They cost under £140 for two people so quite cheap considering.

  • does anyone have a uk CEO ikea email address? they are being morons about repairing something they have agreed to fix, keep promising to call back and then dont..

Depends whether the guard asks to see the card specified on the ticket.

  • Whenever I've done the print your own they've asked to see the card.

Has anyone bought this version of Office 2010? Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010, 1 User Product Key Card: Amazon.co.uk: Software It appears to be just a product code, any idea if it would work in authorising a version I've downloaded from the internet?

Otherwise, any suggestions where I can get a one user licence for Office 2010 (only Word and Excel really) for a non-extortionate amount? I can only find 3 users or business versions.

  • AFAIK, all office products are now just sold as license codes. So yes, it should be able to activate a downloaded version (assuming it's the correct one).

  • Yes, I've seen that for 2013. Just wondering for 2010 as there isn't an official download option so I'd have to "acquire" a download from somewhere

  • The perfect seatpost has come up on ebay but it is .2mm too large for my seat tube.
Is it really awful that if I force it in? I don't even know if it would need that much force. The current post in there right now can be twisted even when the seat tube cluster bolt is done up tight. Granted it needs a fair bit of strength but it does twist.
    A huge no-no?

  • Give it a tickle with some sandpaper?

  • what kind of seat post is it? Modern/wintage? If you find someone with a lathe it's a super easy/fast job.

  • Looking at my bank statement online, it says I made a card payment or £15 to 'OCR Store LTD' on Fri 11th. I'm pretty sure I spend most of Friday on the bike and I can't find anything about this company on Google. Can anyone with more of a clue help?

    Just get an inverse shim.

  • place bike in 32c sun.
    place post in freezer.
    wait.
    grease.
    insert.
    hope frame doesn't explode.
never need to change saddle, pedalss, or shoes.
    accept devaluation of bike.

Good idea, shine it up after?

Shimano Deore seatpost, new old stock. I want to shove it in my Geoffrey Butler which I date to the mid 90's.

Hen's teeth Oliver. I wrapped a power band around the seat tube, fingers crossed the hologram hasn't run out.

In seriousosity, might the seat tube split where the bolt is?
.2mm seems like nothing, maybe I'll sand it then put it in the microwave, then the fridge then grease it and ram it down the tube.

  • Insert. Never ride seated. Legs will bulge. Life will continue. People will admire.

  • I think having a tube that was too small in it meant that it squashed the clamp area. I had this with a crappy old 501 beater. It should have been a 27mm post. a 26.8 was used. I opened up the clamp with a large screwdriver and that fixed the problem.

    Welcome to my world

This is the problem I want to have.
