Porte 2'23 behind Nibs. Can he pull that back?

Wasn't it Pinot who climbed off a couple years back as he couldn't descend well enough (I.e. was scared)? Fair play to him for sorting that and being back on it if so.

It was Pinot last year. A mental block.

Did Lemond sound very sceptical to anybody else? On the replay he said something like "he's not suffering".

Porte 2'23 behind Nibs. Can he pull that back?

Unless there is a major change in form for both in the third week, no.

There was a minute between them last time over about the same distance so Porte will need a lot more time. NIbali is looking better and better.

Assuming they are on par in the mountains, will Porte take 2'23 out of Nibali in the TT? Nibali gave 11 seconds to Wiggins in a similar length TT at the Giro last year.

For some reason I forget I had porte down as a top tester.

I think he meant vice versa. In any case, Nibali can find a reasonable TT when neccessary, and given his form on the cobbles he doesn't seem to be short of power.
