Surely getting it reamed would mean an even more obscure seatpost size? Or should I just go for one which has an available shim and use a 27.2mm post?

Kalloy have a huge range of size.
Best solution would be to take it to a local frame builder and ask their opinion.

29.4mm is already pretty obscure :-)

Yeah I should have commented on the Pina before moaning about my own problems. Does it have a slightly bent seat tube to allow for the wheel, or is that an optical illusion? I like that better than a cutout if that's what it is. Nice bike.

I don't really want a Kalloy, unless they do an inline with two bolt adjustment. I have a SystemEx post already and we don't really get along.

That's what I meant, so something like 29.6mm is going to limit my options even more.
If I were using a shim (and alloy post), should it be seat tube > anti-seize > shim > carbon grip > seatpost, or should a double anti-seize work?

29.6mm

Double grip paste, it contains corrosion inhibitors in the fluid which suspends the grippy granules.

I like both, just wanted to have a go with a carbon track bike, found this and I couldn't let it go :)
I still have the alu one still tho -

Yes, the seat tube is curved to have more clearance ;)

@tommmmmmm
judging by the scratch marks I would say your seattube is bigger than the seatpost.
the clamping area has been tightened down to 29,4 maybe but the actually tube is larger. open up the clamping area a bit and try a 29,6 or even 29,8 in the seattube. -

Perhaps try a cut piece of aluminium can as a ghetto shim?

What's the frame? Photo please. Is it worth the hassle?

It's my track bike, a Graham Weigh 853 frame, so it is worth the hassle I think. There are pics elsewhere, e.g. in the Donohue thread.
I know from other forumengers that Donohue-built bikes with oversize tubing used 29.4mm seat tubes, and from Tester that it could either be 29.0mm, 29.2mm and 29.4mm based on tube diameters and wall thickness.
However, when I bought the frame it came with a 27mm seatpost in a shim which may not have been intended for that purpose, so I think the tube is a 29.4mm seat tube which has just become malformed over time.
As for the BBB seatpost Tester linked to, I did mention that as an option on the last page so it wasn't a UTFS failure, just that I was also considering Thomson/shim routes.
If the shim doesn't work, then I will order a slightly bigger BBB post and try that.

my donohue/weigh has an annoying seat clamp.
have to torque it A LOT for it to not slip which is really annoying. -

So debating on which new wheelset to get on the wheel thread, but at the moment couldn't resist the weight saving bug when you get a road bike...
So guess this is the beginning of the end some would say.
