Ok...just a week after saying that I'm through with buying watches and I want to save up for THE watch, whatever that may be I now have a gap in my collection.
I've only got chunky diving watches at the moment. Now that I have sold my Junghans I don't have anything that fits under a shirt sleeve for work.
I'm tempted by a Flieger style watch (perhaps a Steinhart) but I'm ultimately ruing my decision to flog my Rolex Air King 5700. Can anybody suggest a reasonably priced small automatic steel watch with simple face and satisfyingly solid bracelet?
I keep thinking about a Smiths Everest and then I remember that they are actually quite chunky. I quite like the Armida A7 (whatever their explorer homage is) but I already have an Armida.
So...simple smallish steel automatics. What should I consider? I don't want to pay more than £500.
