The owl was backing Talonsky, obvs.

Andy Schleck's lucky he didn't get eaten by it.

He reckon's it's his "Wolverine" hair. Nice try bub.
You gotta love what a big kid Sagan is. Proper rapscallion, just approaches life with a big grin on his face. And utterly fearless; I'd prefer him not to win green though, not the way he is so far. In 2012 he was grabbing stages by the balls, not looking for minor places. Small criticism: could all change tomorrow.

Gotta agree. However, his bike handling whilst chasing Marcel's rear wheel towards the finish today was absolutely astounding.
Someone care to make a GIF? It was the helicopter shot when he weaved through a number of people in tiny space just to stay glued to Skittles. Properly gnarly riding

There are a few stages in the next ten days or so that suit Sagan more than the likes of Kittel, Demare and Greipel. I'd expect him to win one or two of those, after grabbing them by the balls first, obviously.

This. From the discussion about him upthread I was watching for his handling and that shot about 200m from the end was mental. The commentator went "Sagan's too far back" and the other bloke went "NO HE'S NOT!" and he bombed up through the group.

Millar spoke about just watching Sagan move his way up in a race a couple of weeks ago (saying a lot of what people have said above - bumping his way through, taking lines others wouldn't). I did think there was a touch of that from the heli shot today, for sure.

he's ace grabbing places in flat sprints, just want him to win green for winning stages not 'consistency'.

nice wheelies, but sick move riding over that red car.

Andy Schlack.
As you were.

Just seems such an odd time for it to happen. He was barely pulling away when it went!

Catastrophic failures can happen at any time.
I need the Hincapie gif now, to send to the Movistar riders. Do you think their Service Course in Pamplona is seeing scenes of frantic rebadging of some old Pinarellos, and getting the van ready to drive through the night to Lille?

No GIF, but this is the footage of said heli shot, courtesy of steephill.

Just ordered replacement bars and stem for fear of the very same incident after hearing some bad creaks. Would be happy to give the team mechanics some pointers.

Comparing Cav to Suarez?! Lol. Sorry but you're an idiot.
Enjoy the Kanye backing music.

Kristoff is full of shit. No-one crashes on purpose, and looked how badly he fucked himself up. Cav has been winning TdF stages for years and doesn't go down unless he can't avoid it. Kristoff is a relative newcomer, sorry but those sound like fucking stupid things to say, hoping something is lost in translation because he took down Gerrans and even he was loathe to apportion blame to Cav. Even though Cav admitted guilt.
If those words are his, Kristoff is a cunt, end of, and I quite liked him up until now. A journalist should ask him to list the times he thinks Cav has done that exactly, crashed on purpose.

Jimmy see here.....
"I don’t think anyone crashes on purpose, that's not what I wanted to say," Kristoff told Cyclingnews and the dozen Norwegian journalists on the Tour de France, after finishing second in the stage 4 sprint in Lille.
"He moved towards Gerrans and that's what I think he did on purpose. I didn’t mean to say that he crashed on purpose, I know he wouldn't do that.
"I've got a lot of respect for Cavendish. He's one of the greatest sprinters that I've ever seen. But I don't think his move (in the sprint) was a good one. I'm always going to speak my mind but I didn't intend to be disrespectful to Cavendish. I hope he can understand that."

I am aware words said are not always the words reported. I added the caveat: if those are his words, he is a cunt. If they aren't then I retract it, but who's to know. Talk about kicking a man when he's down though, and a real warrior too, and a winner. You don't win as much as Cav if you make bad moves over and over. Kristoff shot his mouth off, poor show.

Cue someone coming in and saying Kristoff doesn't know real cycling he is just a plastic fan (or some other soccer thread weird nonsensical insult). Despite all evidence/testimony otherwise, it is important to rider or die with Cav.
Also, on another subject, if you guys were real fans you would know that spectators should always walk out into the riders and take a group of them down. You probably only watch the TDF so you don't know that it is perfectly reasonable fan behavior. Check out the Tour of Oman sometime. You will see.
Indeed. Almost didn't take any snaps, but compromised by holding the SLR above my head and ratatattating the shutter
Edit: would be awesome if you could round up all the phone pictures and watch the entire race unfold from that perspective. Awesome, but also shit.
