That's a Merc 'thing'. Once you get used to it, hard to fault, amirite?

My '83 Datsun Stanza 1.6GL saloon (you heard me) had them on the right, loved it for one-armed motorway cruising.

All early jap cars (I have had loads!) and aus cars are on the right. I prefer it.
