  • Hmmmm. I don't reckon you would. Might hear them.. have to see.

  • would have been a nice stretch for a TT transfer

    http://youtu.be/VeOeZxWiryM

  • Not working today. I'm going down to the Velopark to go round and round and round on the road circuit for a couple of hours. Then Mrs Wrongcog and some pals are coming down to the Olympic park for picniccy biz.

  • Velocio, I've been to Green Park the last 2 days. Great vibe, great facilities but you might struggle for a convenient place to lock your bike. Just sit with it on the grass I reckon. The shade is under the tree, slightly to the left of the screen, as you look at it.

Perfect, to the left of the screen is where I'll be then.

  • Going to be at Beckton (Royal Albert) near city airport to watch it! (Hopefully we can get some great shots of the riders leaning) oh the only joys of living in Beckton! ;)

  • I too will be in Green park. With cap. Will look out for you guys.

  • Hopefully I'll be at the finish line, see you there!

  • It passes right under my building so wont have far to go. They should be going at a fair rate of knots by then too so hopefully see the speed cameras going off.

  • Cross posting this..

havebike is set up in Green Park next to the TdF fan park today.

If you want your bike safety-checked before watching the stage on the big screen you can find us near the cycle parking area.

  • Back in Manc, 60 today starting from Ilkley. After joining a kinder-esque mass trespass to get half way up the Stanbury climb I was v.happy to discover I was at Luci"s "corner", pie immediately and gratefully excepted.

Rode the route to top of Cragg Vale, with an hour break just before that climb in Hebden Bridge to eat and watch finish on big screen, before turning for home.

Lots more I could write but for those who were there, here's our employee of the day in full flow:

^This was one of my Tour highlights!

Tried posting yesterday but I was too fucked.
25 miles on the pave of the Leeds Liverpool canal burned me out after a long day in the sun and in the saddle.

I wanted to thank everyone who rocked up to Luci's Corner yesterday. It was brilliant to meet some great forum folk and break bread (pie and Snickers) with them. I don't know what was most tiring, the riding or the laughing! Mister GET BACK GET BACK was such a gold pantomime villain, the bloke on a tiny kids bike being chased by a toddler, Helen barrel rolling over bikes, my personal Scottish lead out train all the way to Skipton (thanks again, lads!!)
I finally got to meet Sparky in Skipton with my old mate HMS, hung out with Hats in Harewood (soooo nice a lass!) and we all admired Brun's sunburn.
By the way, Soul, your batting way above your weight with your lass! A ringer for Lily Allan! Chapeau!

To everyone who travelled to our county, from everyone in Yorkshire:

    You're welcome.

  • Are you Green Park guys settling down anywhere specific?
I'll keep an eye for you guys, but if you see me first shout at me; I'll be wearing this https://www.lfgss.com/thread126653.html with a stupid chapeau cap, riding my white Fort Track.Aero.

    GO TEAM BICYCLE!

  • after 2 days and round trip of 500 miles, im watching stage 3 on the tellybox in our office..
then i might also get to see some of the highlights from stage1/2.
Roads were super quiet this morning in babylon-don.

    x

  • Ironically had to partly drive in to work today but walked from Victoria down the Mall.

A few spectators already staking out spots at 8:30 near Buck. Palace.

I'm wondering where'd best to watch. Thinking of near Embankment tube.

  • The tour comes rght past our office so going to watch it somewhere between Southwark Bridge and Garlic Hill.
Will be work gear and suited so probably not wearing LFGSS cap - might be a bit odd

Yes, the high-vis brigade were certainly throwing their self-importance around yesterday, which resulted in our not making it to Luci's corner in time (gutted). We were lulled into a false sense of security by having no troubles riding the route on Saturday.

I think I'll be joining the green park brigade today, what's the score on bringing in your own food and drink and what time will people be going there?

  • the slap

    white line

  • Just spotted Soul and Mrs Soul on the telly - can just see the peak of my cloth cap!

  • 121.3 km to go on yesterday's climb.

  • Ha! Object looms out of the crowd at the 119.4 km mark!

  • Is anyone at Green Park yet? Is it insane? Leaving work in an hour and haven't decided where to go!

  • I'm thinking about giving Green Park a miss, reckon it'll be too nuts down there...

I'm considering the end of The Highway, just before the right hander that passes Royal Mint Court on the way to Tower Bridge/Tower Hill... Should be able to get a good view of the peloton coming down, through and then up to Tower Hill...

  • I am thinking Shadwell?

    EDIT: A1203

  • East Smithfield, ^ yup, A1203...

  • I'm at green park. Pretty busy but still space at the moment. Food smells lovvvvvely tho.

  • John Degenkolb and Matteo Trentin entertaining the fans on Jenkin Road
