  • Cheers, in the hands on the solicitors now, annoyingly. But I've said we can move ASAP which is what the vendor needs. Our tenancy agreement currently needs at least a full calendar month's notice so even if I give notice now, I will have to pay for the whole ofAugust's rent, which we are prepared for. Because of that, if there is an overlap I'd like as much of one as possible to take the time pressure off getting our shit out of the flat and getting it cleaned.

    Found some decent looking end of tenancy cleaning firms through Google but if anyone has any recommendations, fire away.

    I would use the cleaners who cleaned it prior to you moving in (generally recommended to the previous tenant by the agency), but make sure you're there when they go through the place. It might be wise to go through the check-in inventory and look at what was originally on that too in order to tidy up or repair any little monsters that might've appeared during your time there.

    I guess it depends on your relationship with your landlords - we had one who was a right cunt and tried to claim our deposit for works he intended to carry out. He hadn't decorated the place since the early 90's...
