  • Noob question.

I have a Garmin 810 and have done a few rides with previously plotted routes. Each time I have had any number of issues with it either A, saying I'm going in the wrong direction on an out-and-back route (my question here is whether there is a way to select which direction you're going in) or B, telling me to U-turn to go all the way back to the start, usually when I have gone off route for whatever reason (my question here is whether I can scroll through the way-points to the nearest and then continue the route from there).

I've been getting around this my simply calling up the route on the map and then seeing where I am in relation to it, which turns out to be quite a bit more reliable so might just use that function instead (/CSB)

I know quite a few people have problems with out and back routes and also with ones that cross over. My usual recommendation is to split the route into two at the end point and make it two separate routes.
