having spent 6 months camping in a field with no modern conveniences surrounded by the worst humanity has to offer, i can safely say that i have no compulsion to repeat the experience in this lifetime.
i would happily scalp a free ticket tho.

Having always refused to buy a ticket for Glastonbury in the past I was talked into it by my girlfriend this year; all the negativity you can think of is true.
Admittedly I did have a good time & did see hear some good music but the overall feeling can be summed up by that "cunts everywhere" lion king meme.
The highlight was probably the transformation from perfectly made up girls bleating "love the farm" on Thursday to pilled up chavs squatting in the in the middle of the path by Saturday night.

I made a 'no paying for festivals' rule a while back. Been to Glastonbury twice since, once when I played (clang) and once when my mate played. Both times it was a laugh, but I wouldn't have gone if I'd had to pay. Too big, too many bellends, not enough of that proper festival vibe.
This year, my 24 year old brother went with his mates and my 57 year old teetotal mum went by herself. Both had a lovely time (although my mum stayed in the travelodge down the road and made her way in each day). I don't know what that says about the festival, but there you go.

just watched M.I.A - more like it, bonkers music
Interestingly the rendition of Gangalang where she pretty much sits on a fans face has been edited out of the iplayer footage...
I still wanna be a dancer in her 'band'.
Except RHCP are (were) actually a brilliant band. Any cringeworthiness there is regarding RHCP can be levelled squarely at Kiedis. The other three, by which I mean Flea, Frusciante and Smith, are amazing musicians.
