the tshirt doesn't feel as quality as the baselayer, if that helps. quite nice though, just ordered a second one as they do what I need them to.

Continuing the base layer debate from above, i still have an unworn PT short sleeve base layer that I'm debating over returning.
I got it at 20% off, but still, is a normal synthetic baselayer worth £40? To those that have one, are they worth the dosh?
If it helps I went for the Craft one at half the price of the Rapha version recently as I thought it was a bit too pricey. It worked well on a hot century ride a few weeks ago. Free postage too.....

Having owned both the Craft and Rapha versions I would say that the Craft lost its shape quite quickly while the Rapha is as good as new after a good year of use.

Chocolate starfish.
(Though only an issue for the person behind.)
If thermal pro team bibs fit perfectly in medium, and I like things a bit tight.
Should I size Down to small for the lightweight bibs?
Also. My thermal PT bibs are probably a little too long. Although thats never bothered me when I use them for the conditions intended. I'd like my summer bibs Shorter, and I've heard the classics are also quite long. It would make sense for the lightweights to be as short as the standard PT bibs. Is this so?

Nothing a crack, back, and sack, followed by some anal bleaching would'nt solve.

Actually, as a chemist, I probably have something I can use in the lab. Just need to remember to clean the eye rinse cup when I've finished.

Is there a current code?
Not currently but this always works.

They're not merino. Not even the Tao's Rapha base.
Dan is correct. Fox looks silly – tail between legs.
LOL.
I didn't even notice the word merino. I'm not sure I get how if they are wearing non-merino base layers that disproves what I was saying (as surely they will be less breathable than merino?) but I've kind of lost the will on this one TBH. Although I had also missed that Chopiscle pointed out that Ian Stannard wore a Rapha
'Rab C. Nesbitt'merino mesh base layer to victory in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad so this does mean Dan was wrong on one count at least :PThe Tao pictures I was talking about are here where he can be seen modelling not one but TWO different Rapha base layers, although looking again I suspect just for a photoshoot so maybe that doesn't count:
http://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop/super-lightweight-jersey/product/SLJ03Either way I managed to get a few of these Rab C. Nesbitt base layers at 40% off so I'll let you know how I get on.

Nope - my comments were purely in ref to the 100% merino baselayers. The hybrid ones are retarded anyway - they have all the downsides of synthetic fabrics, whilst minimising their benefits. :)

^^ why dont you guys use quidco?
Dov doesn't need discounts. Baller.
-
• #16939
No i mean why doesent Rapha use Quidco instead of ilovewhatever.com
-
• #16940
Who cares. Discounts are a bit off brand anyway.
-
• #16941
But we love them.

Yup. Look at this liger, for example. Ridiculous. Plus its fur makes terrible base layers.

Tempest jersey is amazingly comfortable, made me realised my Castelli jersey felt awkward.

I have the ocelot hide GT mitts, but this is taking it to another level.

Looks like they've pulled it?

That's the standard. There was a club jersey that had a red stripe. Fn pricey.

• #16948
Standard jersey looks much better imo

would quite like one of those
More expensive fabric? I imagine the merino mesh fabric is harder to weave. Either that, or it's simply what they think the market will bear.
