  • Thought i'd start my own thread so i don't spam in all other ones..

Planning on ordering my third custom Rychtarski frame. It will be very similar to the pink one i'm currently using but with some small changes i kind of wish i had gone with from the start. Like Discs instead of Canti. Removing the rack mounts, and some small geometry changes.

Like my current Rychtarski it will be used for riding both gravel and paved roads. Be able to fit Saddle, Frame & Bar Bags for lightweight touring without feeling all too wobbly, but also be fast enough to keep up on club/group rides.

    Decisions..

    Tubing: Columbus Zona Fillet Brazed
Fork: Columbus MUD Disc (Color matched)
    Headset: Chris King
    Wheels: Kinesis Crosslight / IronCross/Archetype + Novatec
    Tyres: Paselas
Brakes: TRP Spyre / BB7 SL (Mechanical)
    Derailleurs: SRAM Force
    Crankset: SRAM Force.
    Seatpost: Not decided
    Saddle: Fizik Antares
    Stem: 3T Team
    Bars: Not decided

    Some inspiration:

Would love me some Orange again..

I'll update as the project progresses..

  • Sounds awesome psee, looking forward to it.

  • Exciting stuff.

I'd love to see some more pics of your current (and previous)! I know I've seen them on the forum somewhere but can't find them now.

  • love the first fork/headtube set up. but then i really dislike those oversized headtubes ;) sick project!

  • lovely; looking fwd

  • This looks good, subbed.
What is the handlebar bag in the first pic?

    Frost river.

  • will you be keeping the pink frameset once the new one is finished?

  • really great project. look forward to following this up.

  • will you be keeping the pink frameset once the new one is finished?

Probably. Will most likely regret it later if i were to sell it :)

  • judging from your previous threads this'll be amazing

  • how much would a frame like this cost to be built with Rychtarski?

  • Subscribed

  • Is there any reason he can't move the headtube cable guide/stop up ever so slightly so that the cable follows the downtube angle more closely? The only niggling thing on an otherwise perfect bike, IMO, very nice.

Further more, whats Rychtarski like compared to Orlowski

  • Those kind of bike will be the future for: I own one bike and can do anything on it!

No idea why they put them so far down the headtube on my current one. It haven't been a problem, but it looks a bit odd. I'm thinking of internal gear routing for this one. Not sure yet.

I have no experience with Orlowski. But they seem to be on par with each other. My previous frames costed ~800 Euro.

Ayor. That's what i'm looking for.

  • My god that's cheap.

  • Going for a fatso 44mm Headtube.

Internal routing for the rear brake. Much like the Breadwinner B-Road.

    And these dropouts.

  • lovely! it took me quite a while to figure out that there is a chain holder on seat stay on mine

  • 800€ srsly??

  • Well this will be more due to the carbon forks etc..

  • still though, thats amazing

  • will the fork be painted to match the frame? you should get a fork decal like the one for sale on here.

  • Subbed for more awesomeness
