Booked for unaccredited.
Very chuffed.

Umm I think I may not yet be in the CC, except that I've expressed an intention to join. Do I need to do this before the meet?
-
• #254
Perfect. I'll take a look and book tonight.
Out of interest, for the future...reading the track bike specifics, it says both front and rear wheels must be the same size... ? What about lopros? Are these specifics just for theses sessions, or for the track in general?

Track in general.
These are the Lee Valley requirements for bringing your own bike and riding it in the velodrome.

Sorry, I am not being very thick. Focusing on being semi flounced, weight loss and cycling, I have not been keeping track of these threads. Can I order a LFGSS CC jersey yet and if so where?
-
• #257
Nice one :)

Solely your own fault for losing so much weight. :)

And on a similar note, and sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do I actually join LFGSS-CC?
-

Nb. There is a sub forum dedicated to the cc. Maybe that's a good place such questions.

Are spectators allowed to bring alcohol in to the velodrome with them?
and after smashing it on the siberian pine all day where is the best place to get a drink?Faced this problem last time at the park.. didn't feel anything in stratford city westfield held the right ambiance although it is the closest.
Some okay bars over towards hackney wick down by the canal but bit of a walk.
Anyone native to that far east got any better ideas? -
• #262
Crate brewery and pizza place on the canal.

• #263
Booked for the unaccredited old knackers. Excellent.
The kids have been doing HH so will bring them along to watch the shambles.

Mandatory gearing for all riders on taster sessions - 84” (47x15 or 50x16)
Do we know how strictly this is enforced? Is it even applicable as this is a club event, not a taster session?
-
• #265
And if it is going to be enforced does anyone have a 47t 144bcd chainring I can borrow?
Anyway, booked - cheers :)
-
• #266
I suspect it is rigidly enforced for safety reasons. On taster sessions, where less experienced riders may be among the group, it is essential that everyone is moving at as similar pace as possible.

Whoop! Booked in as unaccredited newbie. Very much looking forward to this.
I'm getting the train down from Norwich. For those of you that know the layout/velodrome, will getting in a 8:22 give me enough to get from Stratford station to the right place before the 9am start?

Cheers, I wasn't concerned about finding the velopark as I'm well accustomed to pringles (nom, nom) just that I had enough time to get ready by 9am.

There are only 11 slots available for the 2-hour unaccredited session.
For the accredited session, no tickets have been sold.
We will most likely not run the last hour as an accredited session, and instead stretch the unaccredited session for those who want to help cover the cost of the last hour.
The track time is already paid for, as is the bike hire, but it's the coaches will cost an extra £100 for that last hour, divided by whoever wants to stretch their session... i.e. if 10 people want to spend another hour on the track, then it will cost you a tenner each, if 20 people want to, it's a fiver each... if all 32 want to have a full 3 hour session then it would only cost you £3.20 each (rounded up, I'm not dealing with pennies). As before, we're operating this near cost, so you're paying for the raw time and materials and not any extras.
We can basically figure the last hour out on the day. I'll withdraw from sale the last hour to ensure we can cover the costs and deliver on what we are selling.

Is the unaccredited session just stage 1 or would it cover further stages? I've done stage 1 and am having trouble finding the time for stage 2 at the moment...
-
• #273
I'm in for the extra hour. £10 or whatever.
-
• #274
Would love extra track time (and maybe get 1-2 done?)
-
• #275
I'd be up for more track time certainly
