  • Try UCAS and be patient with their search engine - especially the bit about "leaving a field unselected will return all courses"...

I did an Open university course to build my confidence before going back to school. Level 1 module.
    Would recommend x

Could be BTEC level 3? You'll have to check - I've been retired for a few years and things change...

If you want to do a degree in Maths, the best place to start is A-Level Maths or A-Level Further Maths. You can do these part time/night school and complete them at your own speed.

My (Redbrick) Uni won't touch anyone that wants to do Engineering or Maths without a good A-level Maths Quals, as most degrees will have their syllabus set up to build on the skills they teach.

The OU do "Access Modules" that sounds like what you're looking for (they used to be called "Foundation Modules"):-

There's one for Maths and Science.

There's also a website for helping you choose where you should start if you want to study Maths, with examples of the course materials:

I did a full Maths degree part-time with the OU (2005-2012). Well worth it, although I couldn't afford to do it now the fees have gone up (I paid ~£4k, it's now ~£15k).

All these are brilliant suggestions. Im going to look into them! Thanks a lot.
