  • Are you positive that it's an On-One hub?

I was working on a very similar looking hub the other day (only externally obvious difference being a one piece cone with no lock nut) and it had a circlip to retain the bearing.

  • Defo On-one, I bought it off them & it's logo'd up as such. Be a few days before I can revisit it & get pics if necessary. Ta.

  • Anyone know the sizing on origin8 32h bearings?

  • they are just like formula/system x

  • Arrival of baby slowed me following this up... here's where I'm at... locknut removed both sides, no obv way of removing axle or bearings?

  • Hit axle with hammer

  • Hit axle with hammer twice, gently

    ftfy.

  • when removing the bearings from my novatec hub it was a case of 'Hit axle hard with mallet several times. Swear a little, repeat.'

  • This is where we reach an impasse. hammer budges no axle. 4lb sledgehammer budges no axle. On-one have suggested pour on boiling water first.... sensible?

  • how are you holding the wheel when hitting the axle?

  • Have tried both on solid surface and resting between two surfaces.

  • Hit harder.

  • Or heat the hub shell very carefully, then hit hard.

  • I did a tutorial a while back about bearings:

    Hopefully this will help!

  • Ta, have rep.

  • result! trick was using a long bit of wood on the axle & 4lb sledgehammer.

edit and my currently visiting mums travel hairdryer for heating it up

  • I agree with the author's opinion very much, but I also have some of your more thinking. The so-called one hundred readers have one hundred Hamlet, different people are thinking together, will be more close to the most accurate answer. As a professional bearing businessman,I care about information of The types of seal bearing have made me feel tired, read more articles like this or point of view, made me benefit a lot.
