I do enjoy it, I don't enjoy the ride being jeapordised (Southwark Cyclists said that last year) because people are selfish.
Yes, it is once a year, but getting woken up at 4am isn't fun; particularly if you already hate cyclists.
I'd hate to see sabotage, or more violence, from the locals. It was bad enough watching someone break his arm after being pushed into a pothole in Epping Forest in 2012, but that was Essex so you almost expect that sort of shit.
I'm not doing it this year because I have a baby (so kind of makes up for it), but those guys insisting on making noise could ruin it for everyone. And yes, I was shushed when it slipped my mind that I was speaking loudly, everyone does it without thinking. But playing music?

because his wife wants him to sell it, so he say 'sure love, I'll stick it on eBay'. He then puts a ridiculous price on it knowing it'll never sell but pretends to try to sell it. he then gets to keep the bike, and keep her happy. win win
though judging by the size it could also be a husband wanting his wife to sell the bike
