  • Obviously a prick, not only does he scam people and mostly post in classified trying to get stuff for cheaps, but also

  • I think you'll need to provide more information than that, I was under the impression Vince was fairly well liked around here?

    Quit trolling.

  • codswallop aka charlie z aka charlie z harris - no goods after 2 weeks to several forum members . very bad trader

  • I forgot to properly follow this up when it happened a long time ago, I thought this guy had stopped using the forum so I figured it didn't really matter, anyway...

A while ago this guy said he'd post me a saddle... the saddle never arrived.... he said he posted it but it'd obviously got lost in the post... Refused to give me back any money then didn't reply to me PMs.

I forgot to properly follow this up ages ago when I posted in this thread asking for advice, so my fault on that one, sorry all. Anyway he's started using the forum again so I suggest he be banned. Not sure who to speak to about this.

Edit: this happened over a year ago, here's the relevant thread: http://www.lfgss.com/thread94733.html . Again my fault completely for not following this up, assumed he'd pissed off. Anyway he's back using the forum. I'd rather have the 20£ than him being banned, but I don't see that happening.

What's the best way to make sure this gets followed up? Quite keen for him not to be on the forum anymore...

  • Speak to Velocio I guess.

  • Report the posts / put it in the mods thread, as a rule I don't think he takes action unless it's formally flagged up.

  • Sorry if I misunderstood... report my own posts or the bad traders?

  • I'd report the ones made by the trader, although doesn't hugely matter since the report will effectively draw attention to the whole progress. But since the member you wish to report is the trader and not you, go that way.

  • Just pm velocio

  • Cheers all, dropped him a PM

  • lamajdi
    http://www.lfgss.com/thread128322.html
    http://www.lfgss.com/thread128217.html

no reply to email or PMs for over a week.

only seen one reply commenting that goods received (http://www.lfgss.com/thread118095.html) which COULD be a pseudonym.

  • Any chance we can just ban lamajdi (Jamal Durrant-Inniss) above now - he's had £125 off me a few weeks ago & no response since. He's known to the forum as a scam artist in the past:

    http://www.lfgss.com/thread48164-218.html (bottom of this page)
    http://www.lfgss.com/thread48164-219.html (top of this page)

Would be good to at least make it slightly less easy for him to rip more people off in the future & warn people not to deal with him if his name pops up again with a different username.

  • already done, check the moderators thread in the link (in my pm)
    x

  • Check the mods thread: VB posted a couple of days ago.

  • Ah yes, sorry - missed that! Just making sure...

  • this may rustle a few feathers as the user has a huge amount of posts and is usually a good trader but i feel i have to call him out with his conduct on a sale to me.

Hunterlar posted some pedals to me on 5th December 2013.
Not sure when they were received.
I sent message stating I felt they did not meet description on 20 December.
I sent message stating I wanted to return the pedals and I'd take the hit on postage on 21 December.
I sent message simply stating "?" on 28 December.
I sent message asking for a response on 24 June (six months on).
I sent an email asking for a response on 25 June.
    Nothing.

i believe that at the very least, as an active member of the forum, Hunterlar owes me a response.
however i also believe that this issue - whether or not Hunterlar should accept a return on grounds of misleading description - should be sorted out between us; not debated on here.
as such, it was a hard decision to make this public.

Hunterlar, if you see this, please do me the courtesy of responding to my messages. thanks.

  • Ah. Pet hate is that.

NorthLondonLight did this 'take the cash and go to ground' to folk on here and having met him and conducted sales in person I was surprised as he was a really nice chap.

Making a mistake on descriptions/not realising something is duffed is one thing but just not replying whilst you're still logging in and using the forum is utter bullshit behaviour, lots of posts and prior good guy points or not.

  • Hey noisier, I do apologise for my behaviour in regards to this transaction, I will PM you tomorrow to try and sort it out. I think it's a simple misunderstanding which I am keen to resolve, this doesn't excuse my long delay on responding. I do apologise once again and will contact you tomorrow!

  • ^Doing better than Codswallop so far. Hope this gets resolved.

  • happy this issue has today been resolved.
i have to say that my experience has been pretty poor. at all stages.
to be fair to hunterlar, it looks like he has a great record as a trader. and once the issue was flagged here, he got straight in touch. so, please don't be put off trading with him!
as with everyone, if there are any issues you can sort out ahead of time, always best to do so.
    best!

  • roymund

interested in my bike, ask a few questions etc. then organise to meet up to sell it to him. day before the meetup goes totally silent, ignores private messages... in the end I dont bother spending the £10 train fare to go meet him, and it turns out he has an awful reputation on here anyway. would have been fine with him just messaging back "sorry I have had second thoughts on the bike". i dont have infinite time to put aside to meetup with people... sellers beware of this timewaster.
