I suspect my query is covered somewhere in this thread, but I'm reluctant to trawl through 1,000+ posts.
After the Tour of Wessex just over 2 weeks ago, my right knee became incredibly sore and tender to use. I couldn't even ride home from Paddington to Peckham.
The pain seems to be more on the inside of my knee. After not riding for over a week, it felt fine, with running up stairs being no problem at all. However, a short commute to Covent Garden saw the pain return.
My GP said that there were no problems and that I need time. A physio friend said that soft tissue damage could take 6 weeks to properly heal and that exercises to strengthen the outside of my knee may help.
Am I being impatient with it being only 2 weeks since the injury? Has anyone else had a similar issue? Are there any exercises that people recommend?
I plan to get a bike fit, or at least a cleat fit, to hopefully avoid the issue in the future.
