The point is that we don't actually have to buy these things - it's not like he's called on a kilo of bugle on our behalf and now we have to buy it.
If products are the right price then they will be bought and sold - it's painfully simple mathematics really. In a store there are various factors and limits which positively cannot be dropped below because of overheads and costs. Yes, some careful internet research may produce better prices, but look at the difference between purchasing something from a one-man-band for fifteen hundred gn and one from a corporate for seventeen hundred gn. Personally I'd go for a corporate - peace of mind isn't expensive at two hundred quid...
