What time is it? Watches and horology

I know this makes no sense when you are buying a vintage watch but I really find bracelet stretch to be off putting. Especially when the end pieces look like they don't marry with the lugs perfectly. Its a bit of an irrational pet hate of mine...hardly reasonable to expect a 40 year old watch to be unworn.

I know what you mean . Links have hardly any movement in them , and at least the end pieces don't rattle but there is some play . But like you said is 40 plus . I would probably put on a nice leather strap , not a hipster NATO !
