Pretty well. There are plenty of alternatives to Apple if you don't like their prices. There is no compelling public interest which would make government interference with Apple's contracts desirable.
Apple are free to charge whatever they want in the apple store, on apple.com, or wherever else. When they (effectively) mandate pricing across the board, that interferes with the chance for others to have - lower overheads - better efficiency - whatever business reason to be able to charge less and pass on the same good product at a better price to the consumer.
Anyway, I don't like apple or their prices so wouldn't buy even if there were cheaper retail outlets available.
Also, let's ignore whether or not freedom of contract should trump anti pricefixing legislation, note I originally had an issue with the situation where big boys (Apple) get away with more than small fry (Foffa) could do. That's explicitly an un-free market. Either they should both be allowed to price fix, or neither.
