After a little lurking here I've decided to delve into DayZ. Fuck me it's infuriating. But I suspect once there's a stable release it could be pretty good. Crazy learning curve. I decided not to read any guides etc before and just see how I got on. Kept starving and dehydrating to death despite my bags overflowing with cans of food. Only by chance did I find out that you don't actually need a can opener to get into those peaches, but a rusty axe would suffice. For some reason I've been spawning in the middle of nowhere for a while. I eventually made my way to the airfield in the north east and it was basically empty (bar some guy who crawled on the floor towards me, took off all his clothes, danced and then died). So I stocked up on amazing gear then to celebrate I had a can of beer. Guess that can was the one in 50 I've been reading about that was bugged.
'You feel a pain in your leg'.
'You are dead'.
