Ah, only just seen this thread. I actually rode the thing up in Manchester a couple of months ago. (just quietly, was helping out with mechanical support for mate who supplied the bikes for that event)
Unless they have changed the ramp sections it was a little awkward to ride. The bend was not continuous, more like a double apex. You had to go in high and whip it round. Even on crappy, ill fitting bikes it was fun though and surprisingly few crashes.
I can't remember his name but some world champ sprinter turned up and absolutely smashed it. Think the average was 20 sec laps and he did it in 10 or something. I thought the unbranded "colourful fixie" was going to crumble under him. It didn't.
There was talk of modifying the track for the next event so it would be interesting to see the changes.
