  • I'd be worried about the rest of the welding (presumably covered in filler) if there are visible holes in the un-filtered weld around the back of the tubes

  • this thread needs to be updated

  • yours?

  • Blue tack welding? And seriously, what's up with the track ends on the "work in progress" pic of the pink frame? I hope it's just some silly masking for the paint process

looks quite nice, apart from the stem and bars.

  • I saw a guy a couple of weeks ago walking with a celeste one on Carnaby st, it looked alright for a poser fixie, but knowing the price, the wait, and the poor quality makes me think: Why?

  • Hello All !

I am "new" on the site.

I just received mine this very morning, a FIRESTARTER.

Mine is free of scratches (hopefully)...but it seems that the specs dimensions I asked haven't been respected.

I started to mount some accessories on it today, I have few things to adjust.

I will update tomorrow or latest this wednesday with all details and the all story.

    Thanks.

  • Bubblegum welds?

  • Hello,

One gets "bubblegums welds" when welding has been performed too fast.

I am satisfied with the welding job they done here.

End of december I ordered :
    Seat tube C-C : 53cm
    Seat tube C-T : 55cm
    Top tube C-C : 54cm

Middle of may 2014 (five months later) they sent me a :
    Seat tube C-C : 53cm
    Seat tube C-T : 57cm
    Top tube C-C : 53cm

Why such a difference ? Is it because of the aero geometry ?

    Communication have been tedious too.

I paid 465 euros for the frame alone. French custom stated that the invoice was missing and charged me 150 euros on top of that. That makes a total of 615 euros. And I had to fill the PROFORMA invoice myself so that french custom "frees" my package.

I believe INGRIA frame "design" is pretty stunning, that's why I ordered. Their Internet site is great too. INGRIA will be "top notch" as soon they understand that communication with the customer is very important, communication all along the way : from the order to the delivery. Communication takes time for sure but it saves a lot of worries and time on the customer side.

I am attaching some pictures (ZIP files). On one of them you can compare the INGRIA "Firestarter" geometry against BROTHER CYCLES track one.

    Hope it helps.

  • That's a lot of money if they can't even get the geometry you wanted right...
    Looks pretty good though.

  • If anyone is interested i got airpusher for sale.
    57cm
    Black with red decals.
    Smooth weldings
    Mint

    Send me a pm

  • ordering frames because they look cool from some newbies behind the iron wall with already known wrong made frames = fail

  • i got airpusher for sale.

    Quite believable.

    57cm
    Smooth weldings
    Mint

    Quite unbelievable.

  • I will keep mine. I don't think 465 euros is too expensive for such a frame.

LOW in the U.S.A are much more expensive and delay quite the same...

Ordering a frame on Internet should not be the lotery for sure but same as life it is unexpected unless you become a framebuilder yourself.

  • Im selling mine because i finally found my dream frame.

  • Yeah but LOW can make their frames correctly.

  • Im not gonna argue that Ingria is good company, they arent.

It took double the time to get the frame
Had to send atleast 3 times the same email before they would get back to me.
    Horrid weldings on some frames

I got lucky since i got smooth weldings (only the bottom bracket weld is quite bad but its behind a 'lid' and isnt visible if u dont tip the frame upside down and look closely)

i will edit picture to this post today/tomorrow

  • Didn't you read about the bad experiences before you ordered it? I hope you enjoy it anyhow.

  • I discovered LFGSS existence few days ago. For sure if I knew the story I would never put the order to INGRIA.

I don't have the habit and don't like to shoot on an ambulance... My posts are just to give some informations as accurate as possible. Like I pointed out my frame is free of "bubblegums welds" hopefully.

This afternoon I brang the frame to my local bike seller / repair for installing a bottom bracket. The technician tried to install a new one for 30 minutes but faced issue. Finally he told me that the thread work they did is not fully completed. He said he can fix it. Cost of the operation : 60 euros.

    ahahaahahha this can't be possible

  • I confirm.

  • they probably already know as the shitness of ingria has been discussed here before

unbelievable though that it's still going on
