Got a photo? Did he put the same bearings back in that were hammered out? They would almost be certainly damaged in the process. Frame might not be toast, but yeah, you want that put right.
Have the frame with me now. Yep, he re-installed the same bearings, after pushing them too far into the frame and bashing them out with a hammer and small metal rod. Looks fucked to be honest. The grooves where the circlips insert are all chewed up, and there are chips on the smooth surfaces where the bearings sit. Not up for trying to use it in it's current state, especially as BB30 is famously temperamental anyway. I want a clean installation from day 1 to avoid issues later. Don't want to be on a massive ride somewhere and getting problems. The second bike shop said it's basically scrap now. Will wait for the first place to sort out some cash for a new frame, and then will think what to do with this one. Probably just sell it as it is, with a warning and photos of the damage. Someone might repair it and be happy with it, but not me. Will post a photo tomorrow.
