HHSB mode with black risers was the best IMO

Haha i think you need glasses to, this is the original pic...
Your bike actually got me thinking a lot, i could get silver hubs, my mates got a silver 50t Dura ace ring for 30 quid, more traditional, or just go all black but keep the rims skinny n so on.

Ride it and trash it instead.
Why not get a carbon fork so you can run brake?
-
• #93731
Silver hubs and spokes then maybe gumwalls. Much nicer than generic all black on yellow.
-
• #93732
tbh i think this is the best guise. traditional but well. black contacts, black hoops (3 of m), rest silver. crabonz would indeed also be sensible

I really like the silver cranks/black chainring combo. Have you considered compact drops? I always like how they look on old steel frames and are very comfortable
-
• #93734
Yeah I like a mixture of black and silver bits.
Only things I'd change on that are removing all the non original stickers from frame and wheel, and some bars I would find more comfortable.

Just got off the phone with another bike shop where I dropped off the bike for checks. They said my brand new CAAD10 frame is fucked due to the damage to the bottom bracket area, from the mechanics at the last place installing and removing it incorrectly. Oh well. Months of preparation and planning down the toilet. Now the process of asking them for cash for a new one...

awful. :(
unrelated:
I'm sitting here looking at a hydraulic disc brake with a m8 fitting at the lever
end. I want to convert that to a banjo fitting to have the hose come
out at a different angle. What fitting hardware do I need?
An m8 banjo bolt, yes, but I struggle to find an 8mm banjo that I know
will fit on the standard hose. -

That's rubbish news, is the place that knackered it admitting fault?
-

Kind of. The mechanic is now on holiday for a week, but the owner is being helpful. We're talking, at least. They should help me out. I'd like the cash now though, to get it built up again and on the road. Don't want to have to wait

Had to scrap my communter Benotto for a stuck BB cup (damn Italians). Found a cheap replacement in this unhappy looking thing;
Apparently had been sat outside for a while, stuck seatpost and stem lol. Back to square one! Giving it a try though.

That mechanic needs a bodged installation of bb30 in their face.
