Yeah, I should be there from June until September-ish. I haven't really got a bike in working condition there at the moment, but I should have something by July. I'm going to be in Bed-Stuy, what about you?
Sorry, totally missed this - I'll be in Bushwick most likely. I used to live in Bed Stuy years ago. If you fly with Virgin, you can take a bike (boxed or otherwise) for free as long as it isn't more than 23kgs (which it won't be).
Looks like I'll be spending 3 months in NYC over the summer. Want to keep my cycling up - is it easy enough to get out of the city for some decent road rides/clubs etc? Better to take mine or rent something while I'm out there?
Ill probably be in Manhattan.
Take your own, again if you fly with Virgin you can get it out FOC. And it's not too much of a hassle. Manhattan is decent enough, and a lot of fun bombing through traffic. You could go north out towards Woodchester or cross the bridges to Brooklyn and head out of town that way. It's also a really nice ride just heading to the beaches in South Brooklyn on a summer's day. Rockaway Beach has good surf too!
