I often run/ride without checking my Garmin. But I always record efforts.
Its amazing how often you come home from a ride feeling slow and crap. Only to realise you've hit a few PBs. Which is uplifting.
I think the burn from riding With fatigued legs makes me think I'm riding fast. So I feel slower when I'm rested.
