I need a suggestion for a comfortable handlebar setup.
I plan to do some touring on the bike during summer and I'd like to survive it.
the situation is as follows:
My bike is slightly too long for me (I guess). I am riding Bullhorns with the brake levers at the ends which is fun for fast riding but is uncomfortable on longer rides. To compensate the long reach I installed a 50mm stem, which can't be a good idea.
Ideas:
a) install cross brake levers on the bullhorns and switch back to a longer stem (80mm or so). Ride more on the flats and only grip the horns for speed/extra power
I fear this would actually make things worse but then again, I have never ridden on the flats of the bullhorns for long because I have no brakes on them.
b) Compact drops, high rise 80mm stem, cross levers.
More positions, but I have never ridden drops before. worth it?
