  • We are delighted and very excited to announce that Bespoked will be returning to Bristol next year.

  • Ah, that's good. Much as I liked having it on my doorstep, it's definitely preferable if not everything is centred on London.

  • Boo - I liked the opportunity to see all this stuff in London without having to get off my arse to travel. Had a good chat with folk from Paulos Quiros and from Longstaff (and with the bloke selling Faggins), and solved a techie issue (my fuckwittery) with a conversation with Cliff from Royce that I would never have initiated by phone/email 'cos it was about a second-hand part.

Why going back? Attendance? Cost of putting it on in London? A principled desire to keep it a non-metropolitan event?

  • Totally selfish viewpoint, but I'm glad to see the show return to Bristol.

  • Hoorah!

Fuck London and its bloody Rapha ponce brigade!!!

Three cheers for Bristol and its Basdurd, baws grindin' Gashead `gobshites! :-)

    Alls good in the world...

  • Anyone planning to go? I'll be there photographing.

  • Yes I'll be there, both to see the show and to support my son who has a stand in the apparel exhibition being held in the Arnolfini.

  • I will head up on the Saturday! Can't wait!

  • Might go if my frame is ready (hint hint).

  • I believe the plan is to do London and Bristol alternately each year...

  • anyone heading down from london then?
any lifts going....dare I say car pool.

Im helping a friend out with their stand but its all become a bit last min and confused
    currently.

  • @smeear - I'm here already so I can't help with the car-pooling.. but swing by @massif_central stand in the Arnolfini and say Hi. I'll be there all weekend - except when i dash over to Brunel's Old Station to look at the bikes.

@photoben - looking forward to your excellent photos of our lovely stand (!)

@Grubbythumb - likewise, stop by and say Hi. Who is your son?

  • @hms of course, I'll be there bright and early tomorrow.

@Smeear I'm driving from Bath early tomorrow, but will be driving back to London Sunday if you want a seat in my car.

  • Living in Bristol I feel it would be rude not to, so going to spend Saturday walking around.

  • @photoben yeah i was just about to buy a ticket back to london, a lift would be swell, and much more cheery!

@hms for sure i will swing by, got two days just to make sure i can see EVERYTHING!!!

  • how's the show? I'm thinking of heading down tomorrow afternoon depending on weather and legs.

  • I popped in earlier, Its well worth a visit if your considering it. The Talbot bikes are particularly beautiful

  • You might also want to visit a certain coffee shop for the RAD Weekender.

Starts tomorrow at 9 with a 50 miler, meet at Full Court Press

    Shameless plug. :)

    Some of my favs
    Longstaff tourer

    Sven rando

    Bronze cycles

    Nice simple Mather

  • Anyone thinking about going down, definitely worth it. Spent practically all day there - some fantastic bikes in the Old Station, the Talbots, Saffrons Deanima and Festka especially caught my eye.

Worth a wander over to the Arnolfini as well to see some cool stuff. Had a chat to a chap from Massif Central and saw their fantastic prints.

  • @5awyr - thanks for the compliment on the MassifCentral stuff. Super busy today - I've never done so much talking in all my life. Had a great response. Going to slip over to see the bikes first thing tomorrow.

  • Was there yesterday - as someone with a penchant for all things steel and the detailing (and with an order with Saffron due to go into production next month...), it was a real feast of detail porn.

I must admit, almost to the point of being too overwhelming (and a fair few of the bikes look like they might never be ridden - and a CX bike with a £2.6k paintjob!?!...) but some of the bits were pretty inspiring and a fair few ideas might creep into my next build...

Pick of the show for me was the Talbot carbon tubed b-stayed beaut - really one of those 'makes so much sense, can't think why no ones done it before' moments - hope it tests as well as it looks.

  • Simply beautiful
