Sorry to hear that Ludwig, although if it's any consolation you probably got the most beautiful half. Elan Valley is one of my favourite roads to ride, anywhere in the world.
Does the BC turn west at the top of the valley and head to Aberystwyth? Absolutely stunning views from there.
