I've had the Ocean Black a couple or three weeks now. Initially it was around 10 seconds a day fast. It's settled down to around +4 secs a day now. Interesting how these movements settle down into their rhythm after a while.
I've been quoted a full service on my IWC Aquatimer for £415. They also quoted £230 for an optional change of sapphire crystal which I did not opt for as I couldn't see anything wrong with the original one. I think £415 ain't bad seeing as my old quartz Tag cost £450 for a full service, new bezel and glass. I'm very keen to get the IWC back. Definitely missing it. It needed a service though. There was a lot of debris build up on the inside of the crystal back and generally all over the movement I noticed on inspection (took a microscope to see it) Looking forward to inspecting how clean it comes back. I'll try to get some microscope shots up when I get it back if anyone's interested? Won't be for another five weeks or so though...
