What time is it? Watches and horology

I love the Pelagos, but visually the date window ruins it for me.

The date should be white on black at 4 o clock position IMO.

I've tried one on and the quality is first rate

Can't agree fella. In black out of white the date window makes the 3 marker identical in length to the 9 marker opposite. There is method in their madness :)
