Thanks for asking! It was (still is) a crazy ride. Can't believe how many iterations I went through, but it is understandable given I was a complete novice when I started. I also had to order everything online as there is nothing here where I live. Shipping the frameset from USA to a small town in Europe was a PITA :)
I am very close to completion now, ETA is three more months as I have just a few more parts to source, but they are expensive.
Must say I never hoped to build something like this. In the end, this is going to be a pretty high-end build. I'll be sure to post some photos once finished as I think it would all come together magnificently.
Here's the current part list and status:
At home, arrived:
AARN 144#47 Chainring (Prolly 'PiNP')
Brooks Cambium Saddle Slate
Cane Creek 40 IS42 Short Complete Headset
Chris King Headset Spacer Set
Cinelli MASH Bullhorn
Cinelli Mash Oversize Road Stem 100mm (new, more aggressive track angle)
Cinelli Volee Mash Tape
EAI Deluxe Track Cog 1/8 / 19T
FBM Sword Fork 1-1/8" Threadless
FBM Sword SQ Frame
KMC K710 Kool Chain
MKS NJS Toeclips
Stronglight Track Chainring Bolts
Sugino 75 Bottom Bracket
Sugino 75 Crank Black 165mm/144bcd
Sugino Crank Dust Caps
Thomson Elite Seat Post 27.2/330
Thomson Seat Tube Collar
Zefal Classic Leather Toe Straps
TODO:
DT Swiss Spokes
H+Son ARCHETYPE RIMs 23mm 700c/36H
Profile Racing Fixed/Fixed Hubset 36H
Ruffy Tuffy Kevlar Bead 700c x 28
White Industries Pedals
Zefal rim tape 17mm
So, getting much closer now. But the hubset is around 300 EUR and the pedals around 220 EUR. Crazy, but I want exactly those and will not let go :)
In the future, I am planning to do a budget fixie build based on Affinity Metropolitan frameset and a premium Cycles d'Autremont 27.5 Singlespeed Hardtail build. But those are just plans, I think this Sword, once completed, will be my daily and only ride till the end :)
