I ride in Nottingham, the bike may of originally been around that way though. I bought it from the original owner (it has his initial on the BB shell) who was down south somewhere.
I think the photo may be misleading. The brakes are only standard drops but the pads are all the way at the bottom. If I'm honest the slots need filing another mm to get the pads to sit better. Currently on 25mm tyres. I used to have a Surly Pacer, which had similar clearances and I managed to get chromoplastics in without a problem. Are the GBs that much bigger?
