There was silence at Stormont when we saw Dan Martin's crash on the big screen. Poor guy.

Good days racing, cheeky bit of riding on the course this morning then good boozing and shouting with T4 and Hats this evening.
A shame the rain dumped down when it did but that's how it goes.

Didn't see the crash and was really hoping he will be back tomorrow, but judging from that video it is not going to happen. Gutted, so unfortunate.

Did 92 take out his back wheel?
-
• #57
Fixed. :)
Oh, I know how fast they're averaging. But when the guys drop off the back and limp away they're still going faster than me on a club run - and the team still disappears up the road at warp speed. Superb to see.
Sad to see Dan Martin go down hard. Not what he was hoping for today I'm sure. Did he manage to finish or is it 100% that he's out?

He's broken his collarbone and didn't finish the stage, so is definitely out.

Ouch. Needs the wasted gif treatment.
-
• #61
Ouch :(
Too bad the sound of the wheels isn't on the footage...very impressive!

Love that one of the the genuinely toughest blokes in the peloton gets the brony bike treatment

Proxy teammate karma.

Just an homage to Belfast to match these:
At least that'd be my excuse.

Gutted for Dan Martin, they went down like skittles
-
• #67
So Bouhanni v Kittel v Viviani today?
-
• #68
If they don't drown first
-
• #69
If it's wet, and following yesterday, could Tyler Farrar remind the cycling world that he can still sprint a bit?
He's a nailed on certainty for 4th, at least.

Money on Viv today :)
-
• #71
Kittel
Viv
Farrar
Bouhanni
MatthewsIs my random wild guess. Boy Van Poppel as a complete wildcard pick.

^ second that
impressed by Tjallingii (like in Milan Senremo) in the break, very strong on intermediate sprint from the front of the group of 4 to get the KOM jersey.
edit: and extra kudos for him trying to beat the peloton in the last 8k

Anyone taking part in the Velogames fantasy giro?
Could start a LFGSS league if there are enough of us.
(entry has closed though)

I'm in.
Kittel already earning his place.

I'm in too. Didn't pick Kittel though, he looked expensive and I was feeling cheap, but as usual you get what you pay for...
I appear to be down a tenner. C'mon Cadel.
